چکیده

A relatively simple design of a segmented flow meter is presented for measuring in situ plasma velocities and other space parameters. The response the to environment simulated conditions representative ionosphere at mid low latitudes using Particle cell code. synthetic data set consisting ion currents collected by several segments meter, physical parameters which they were calculated, then used construct solution library from inference models can be constructed, radial basis function neural network regressions. Simulation results show that with such it should possible infer direction perpendicular ram direction, uncertainties ±45 m/s or less. Models also constructed densities, maximum relative error 23%. This work as first assessment proof concept an original robust meter.

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Five-Dimensional Kinetic Simulation of Anomalous Transport in Fusion Plasma

With the aim of understanding the anomalous transport mechanism in the magnetic confinement fusion plasma and quantitatively predicting the transport level, gyrokinetic simulations of plasma turbulence have been carried out by means of the originally developed code (GKV code). The GKV simulations solving time-evolutions of particle distribution function in the five-dimensional phase-space have ...

Multi-technique Studies of Ionospheric Plasma Structuring

The day-to-day variability in ionospheric irregularity generation giving rise to equatorial scintillation has remained an unresolved issue over many decades (Basu and Basu, 1985). We take a fresh look at the problem utilizing the global imagery provided by the GUVI instrument on NASA’s TIMED satellite. GUVI has been acquiring images of 135.6-nm emission in the Earth’s ionosphere/thermosphere sy...

Meter Scale Plasma Source For Plasma Wakefield Experiments

High accelerating gradients generated by a high density electron beam moving through plasma has been used to double the energy of the SLAC electron beam [1]. During that experiment, the electron current density was high enough to generate its own plasma without significant head erosion. In the newly commissioned FACET facility at SLAC, the peak current will be lower and without pre-ionization, ...
